Tazmina’s Story

Tazmina’s father works as a day labourer and his income is just £2.50 a day when he can find work. Supporting himself, his wife and his 5 children in education was proving to be a daily struggle. The family seriously considered removing some of the children from school and placing them in work.

“My father is the main person who supports the family and it is very hard to support all of us in our education needs …. But since YMO Trust’s support has been available to me, it’s one less headache for my family and I am doing ever so well”

Tazmina’s teachers say that “Tazmina has all the required talent in her to achieve success in life. She is an inspiration for the whole class.  We hope Tazmina will be a leading example for other women within the society”

Husna’s Story

Husna was 13 years old when she came to YMO Trust, family life is tough for her. Her father has been bedbound with a disability for the past 5 years and her mother takes care of him and the family. Husna’s older sister takes care of Husna as best she can but her own husband passed away recently leaving no income source to support the family. Despite Husna being an A grade student with aspirations of becoming a Doctor someday, there was no money to pay Husna’s school fees.

YMO Trust stepped in just in time, paying her school fees and providing her support so she can remain in school and she passed her 6th Grade exams with flying colours achieving maximum score of 5.00 (A*)

“I feel YMO Trust’s help was from God; otherwise it would have been impossible for my mum or sister to help me continue achieving excellent results”

Al Amin’s Story

“My father is a watch mechanic but also an inspiration to me. His monthly income is around 6000 taka (approx. £50), which is not enough to manage the 11 people in the family, and because of this we all face financial trouble which affects my education along with the rest of my sibling’s life in general”

“I cannot wait to grow up and earn good money to take the poverty away from my family”

Al Amin is a genuine student with very high intellectual abilities and has an excellent attendance and behaviour record at the YMO centre. We feel that with continuous support from YMO Trust we hope to see this bright child achieve wonders.

Al Amin is just one of many children you can sponsor for as little as 40p per day
