Orphans

SISC Orphanage (2018-2022)

YMO Trust have been working in partnership with the Sylhet Inclusive School & College since 2018.

During the initial visit to this institution and whilst discussing at length the needs of the students with the Headteacher and staff, YMO Trust committed to providing additional teaching resources, staff and nutrition, namely a ‘mid-day meal’. This facility, although doing a fantastic job considering its financial constraints, was lacking in vital teachings staff and funding for its 500 students.

SISC takes full responsibility for the general welfare of the children including their full time education within its compound. SISC runs on the kind donations of local business people and dignitaries. If you want to find out more about the orphanage please visit their website on www.sisac.edu.bd

YMO Trust provide the college with two qualified teachers for the tuition of English and Science.

Nutrition

During their study time, the 500 students were on a rota for lunch with only enough food available to feed just over half the children, leaving the other hungry.

YMO Trust are firm in belief that good nutrition is vital for developing intellect. By getting a nutritious lunch the children have the best opportunity to learn. That is why as of May 2019 the college now has a full provision for an additional mid day lunch thanks to the commitment by YMO Trust and its the generous supporters.
